Between 2007 and 2010 the Library of Montserrat participated in a project led by Google and coordinated by the National Library of Catalonia, which allowed the digitization of more than 20,000 books from the Library of Montserrat in full text. Most of the works in this collection contain several volumes, so the number of titles is lower.

This project, which ended in 2011, made available to the scientific community an important collection of the Library of Montserrat, dedicated to works in the humanities and theology, published between the 17th and 19th centuries. This period includes publications in several languages of works free of copyright. On the other hand, there are also numerous editions of great classical authors.
